Attic insulation in LindenNo. The listing covers the tabernacle alone, an eight-sided frame church put up in 1898 to look like a revival tent. Listing puts no limits even on the tabernacle's owner when the work is privately paid for, according to the state preservation office. The 2023 state roster names Fayetteville's as the one preservation commission in Cumberland County, so no local historic review reaches an attic in Falcon.
The wiring. The town's church school opened in 1902 and its children's home in 1909, and a house from those early decades may still hide some knob-and-tube wiring. Wiring of that pre-1930 kind is a possible fire hazard once insulation covers it, ENERGY STAR cautions. So an electrician traces it first. Live circuits of that kind are left bare, never blanketed. A 2024 county survey found the town's older buildings little studied, so the house itself is the guide.
